Yeol Clumsy #30 - Party at the Thalmor Embassy

Fredas, 10th of Frostfall 4E201

All arrangements where taken. I asked Sofia to go home. Delphine took all my stuff, and I went to the Thalmor Embassy Party with just a fancy suite, and an invitation. Nothing else. Totally crazy!

Making preparations to leave for the party
The cart stopped, I was nervous. They let me in. Elenwen received me. Luckily her attention was taken by something else. I slipped in, and manages to stay aside. When people were distracted, I slipped into kitchen, and further into some rooms where I found Thalmor clothes with hood. Disguised I managed to cross the court yard, and enter Elenwen's Solar.
Elenwen received me at the (boring) party
Following the Bosmer's directions I found some interesting documents, but I had to go further into the basements to find real proof about the Thalmor not being behind the dragon appearances.

I had to kill two Thalmors who were torturing a poor guy. He appeared to know possibly something about someone who might know something about dragons... or something like that.
Two Thalmor torturing a guy

We (the tortured guy and the bosmer) managed to escape through the dungeons below, kept by a huge troll ... (not anymore).

Coming out of the dungeon, by a cave exit to outside, I had to run all the way to solitude. It was freezing, I was getting very cold. I had NOTHING except a party suit. I was hallucinating from the cold: a headless gost rider passed us by... the statue of Merida talked to me... I was dying from freezing! I ran, ran, and found just in time the heat of the Winking Skeever open fire. Frost in Skyrim is one's worst enemy!
Hallucination: the statue of Merida talked to me.

Hallucination: a ghost rider past me by during the descent.

The next day I was like a bagger, selling some found stuff lying around, to pay a cart ride to Riverwood. It was the first time I saw Delphine smile: "You're back, live!"
Back in Solitude, in my party suite.

Riverwood: first time Delphine seems to smile.

Yeol Clumsy #29 - Secret Meeting with a Bosmer

Turdas, 9th of Frostfall 4E201

How does one fight a god? I didn't had any clue what to do. I decided to hear what Delphine came up with, and headed for Riverwood.

Delphine was still obsessed about the Thalmor involvement, and asked me to sneak in the Thalmor embassy, and steal some documents to proof it. Me! I'm lousy at thieving, and all of Skyrim knows about me, I'm the Dragonborn! But Delphine insisted this was the best plan, and that I had to meet a Bosmer at The Winking Skeever.

Delphine develops her plan...
Nice weather in Riverwood
So I left Riverwood for what I though would be a boring long walk to Solitude. But just after Half-Moon Mill, I had another encounter with Alduin, who, again, rose a dragon out of its resting place. It was a tough fight, I was better protected against the frost flames of this dragon than the fire flames of the others before. So after all, the dragon went down rather easy.
Alduin rose another dragon from the earth. I had to fight it... again.

It was almost midnight when I continued the road to Rorikstead. Then, I got totally terrified! I saw a werewolf, ripping apart some guys! Three Thalmor soldiers nearby also attacked these poor guys. It was horrible. When the battle was over, the werewolf was dead, as were the 4 guys. They seemed Silver Hand members, whatever that means.
I was horrified to see this monster ripping apart people. It died in the fight.

I ran to Rorikstead's Inn, and slept the rest of the night. The next day I had another tough battle at Robber's Gorge. It was again occupied by outlaws,... not anymore. At noon I arrived at Solitude, and met the Bosmer in a dark corner of the Inn.

Yeol Clumsy #28 - Looking for a Book

Tirdas, 7th of Frostfall 4E201

I am the Dragonborn! I have to be... Too much has happened that otherwise wouldn't have. But who is the Dragonborn? Why did the Dragonborn revealed himself just now, and not when I was born, or during my childhood? I had too many questions.

My first reflex was asking the court wizard of Whiterun, because he studied dragons after all for a long time.

Consulting the court wizard of Whiterun
But the court wizard didn't knew more. He referred to a book entitled "The Book of the Dragonborn", but the only copy he knew, was at the Winterhold's College.

The next day I packed for the cold north: Winterhold. Halfway weather became bad, freezing cold, wind and snow slowed my progress. I had to halt several times to warm up at a camp fire.

Sheltering against the cold
I arrived at the College. I never used magic my entire life, but using a simple healing spell (they sold!) was enough to be admitted. Remarkable! Immediately I headed for the Arcanaeum, the library of the College. I found the book by coincidence quickly, and read it with utmost attention.

Entering the College
The Book of the Dragonborn
I read about the origin, the history, the people who were Dragonborn and lots of theories... and then... one line about me: the Last Dragonborn! A book written many ages ago, mentioned my appearance:

... The World-Eater wakes, and the Wheel turns upon the Last Dragonborn...

So, my appearance is because of The World-Eater. Alduin came to devour the world, I have been send, maybe by Akatosh himself, to be some kind of an answer. ... But.... Alduin is godlike... more then just a creature, a beast, a monster... I have to fight... a God?!

When I left the College, and came outside, I saw Azura. It felt as a sign. As I saw the statue, I had to go there, visit the shrine. So I did...

The Shrine of Azura in the distance
Next day I came home, at Breezehome. Home, where nothing matters. Home where I'm safe, where time doesn't exist, where I can be myself... I am Yeol the Clumsy!
Breezehome, my home! (Sofia preferred to stay at the Bannered Mare... because, you know... Lydia)

Yeol Clumsy #27 - Rendez-vous with a Dragon

Fredas, 3rd of Frostfall 4E201

Today was THE day, I felt it in me. It would be either my end, or the beginning of my life as "a hero". I woke up this morning and knew I had to go, to fight that dragon. We took a breakfast at Vilemyr Inn, and left for Kynesgrove.

It was a beautiful day. The road was easy and calm. Halfway, upon one of the many bridges, I halted. I offered both Sofia and Lydia to leave, if they preferred so. But Lydia "sworn" to serve me, and Sofia never had that much fun, and that without booze or teasing men!
I offered Sofia and Lydia the freedom to go, now it's not too late.
The moment we arrived at Kynesgrove, there was panic. Dragons were sighted. Delphine shouted to follow her, "COME ON, NOW!"  I ran after her uphill, and there it was. The same huge dark grey dragon from Helgen. It roared loud words. Another dragon rose up from the earth.

The battle took many, many hours. The dragon's flames took my live almost, many many time. I ran out of potions, I ran out of breath, I ran out of arrows, but finally the dragon crumbled. With my sword, I gave it the final blow. Energy left the dragon, I absorbed it. It was dead, I survived...
The dragon has been slain, I absorbed the energy.
Delphine was impressed, and asked for forgiveness. She told about the Blades and her oath to serve the Dragonborn. She told me also that her "guts" told her that the Thalmor might be behind all this. But she needed time to think. She would be in Riverwood when I would need her.
Delphine explained who she was

And I? I'm the Dragonborn, the legend! I'm the Prophecy! But... what am I supposed to do...? ... I entered the Briarwood Inn, and went to bed, very tired...

Yeol Clumsy #26 - Am I the Prophecy?

Turdas, 2nd of Frostfall 4E201

Delphine was waiting for me outside the Sleeping Giant, to leave for Kynesgrove, to watch me kill a dragon! But I was not entirely convinced whether or not Delphine was honest and true about her intentions. Delphine was too pushy. So, I told her to go already, that we'll meet there.

Delphine eager to see me kill a dragon
Fighting a dragon...! I was not keen on that idea. I went first to Whiterun, to pick up Lydia: the more the merrier, ...and the safer. Then I set direction Ivarstead. I overnighted halfway, at Helgen.

Picking up Lydia at Whiterun
The next day I ran as I never ran in my life. I ran to Ivarstead, and warmed myself at the inn's fire. Ran up to High Hrodgar, to see the Greybeards (and ehh,... killed a frost troll and a snow bear). I had to listen to what the Greybeards had to say, before jumping into Delphine's madness.

Helgen at day break, ready to go
The Greybeards accepted without any question or doubt the Horn, although it was not me, that got it out of Ustengrav! They helt a short ceremony or ritual to confirm me being the real Dragonborn, the first since Talos!... The ritual went very fast. I did not had any word in the matter. Afterwards I tried to speak to Arngeir. He only told me something about shouting, me absorbing dragon souls when they're slain, and that I'm connected to the destiny of the dragons. How? Why? I still did not knew.
After the ritual the Graybeards went quiet again.

That same afternoon we ran down the mountain again, to Ivarstead. It was late when we arrived at the inn. Sofia was still kind of jealous about Lydia's company, but I did not pay too much attention. I was worried. I went to bed, silent, thinking,... *Am I ... the prophecy?*
Sofia is not liking Lydia's company

Yeol Clumsy #25 - Meeting a "Friend"

Tirdas, 30th of Heartfire 4E201

So, I took the bait, and set foot to Riverwood, up to meet a "friend". This time I decide to take the western road, along river Hjaal, and then to Rorikstead. The entire road was quiet (except from some local wildlife interruptions). But when arriving at Rorikstead we intercepted a gang of four bandits. It was a tough fight. All but one of them have their gravestones here.

At early morning, again a gang of four bandits attacked Rorikstead. Also these guys followed the same faith as their brothers the evening before.
The second gang of bandits closing their business here, at Rorikstead.

Under way to Riverwood we noticed large army movements; Imperials were setting up an ambush.

Not much further we saw a rather small guy being attacked by two frost spiders. We jumped in, and helped the fellow. When the spiders were killed, the little guy turned against us. He was ordered to assassinate me, reading the note he carried with him.
Saved the guy from 2 frost spiders, but would then assassinate me!

Just after Half-Moon Inn I found an abandoned horse. (Sofia found hers too somehow) Although I feel very uncomfortable upon the back of a horse, I used it to bring me to Riverwood.
Entering Riverwood by found horses

At the Sleeping Giant the "friend" revealed herself. Delphine brought me to the hidden basement, and told about me being the dragonborn and a next appearance of a dragon at Kynesgrove. If I would go there with her, so she could see if I am the "real" dragonborn. I'm no circus act! Above that, she told nothing about herself, or why we needed to do this, and how SHE managed to get passed the puzzles in Ustengrav!

She threw the Horn into my hands, and almost ordered me to bring it back to the Greybeards! I hesitated to comply to Delphine blindly, but strangely enough, I had the feeling that she spoke some degree of truth...

Yeol Clumsy #24 - Mysteries at Ustengrav

Morndas, 29th of Heartfire 4E201

We left Morthal early morning to look for Ustengrav, the location where I should find Windcaller's Horn. We found the ruins easily, but a group of heavily armed bandits attacked us at the spot. We had no other choice then to defend ourselves.

Ustengrav
Entering the ruins we were received by a couple of nasty necromancers. I nearly lost my life here at Ustengrav's doorstep, but luckily Sofia saved me with a couple of well placed fireballs.

The ruins were vast and dark. I used mainly stealth to arrow my way deeper and deeper into the dungeon. Finally I stood before the altar, where should have been Windcaller's Horn. But all I found was a note: "...see me at the Riverwood inn, a Friend"

The altar of Windcaller's Horn
Whoever that "friend" is, he or she managed to get passed puzzles only solvable with dragon shouts! I'm quite sure this "friend" is not really a friend of mine.

We arrived back at Morthal early morning. We had breakfast on the bridge in the fresh open air, and went to bed...

Yeol Clumsy #23 - Underthroat Passway, and further to Morthal

Loredas, 27th of Heartfire 4E201

Hospitality of the Greybeards has a limit. I had to overnight on the front porch outside. The descent next morning went swift, besides a frost troll, who will not bother pilgrimers anymore. At Ivarstead, when preparing a hot soup, locals talked about an underground passage to Whiterun. They called it the Underthroat Passway; once used by smugglers and thieves from Riften. I decided to have a look.

It took me a day and an entire night to get to the other end. The caves, tunnels and corridors were infested by cave dwelling creatures. At the deep centre I found a temple some sort, but I could not unlock the stone door. Near lived a monstrous big troll, named Hurraka. We had to slay it... with difficulty.
The huge troll named Hurraka slayed.
At Whiterun a comfortable home awaited me. It was already dawn. I slept a little, and started to arrange all junk I collected from last trip. Selling, crafting, selling again, ordering thing into chests and cupboards... Sofia got really bored watching me. She was eager to leave for Morthal (and can't stand Lydia somehow)
Sofia is getting bored watching me arranging stuff.
Next early morning we finally left. I decided to take the central route, most direct. The road went, as the map indicated, to a burial place: Hamvir's Rest. There the road ended. I adventured into the landscape to find for a passage over the mountain ridge. That brought me to a place called Labyrinthian, infested with frost trolls.
The road ends at Hamvir's Rest, welcomed by skeletons and a draugr
Labyrinthian, infested with frost trolls
At the evening I arrived at Morthal, cold and tired. I looked for the Inn, and went to bed. Tomorrow we'll look for that Windthingy Horn or whatever... I'm to tired to think now...

Yeol Clumsy #22 - Greybeards Revealed my Destiny

Middas, 24th of Heartfire 4E201

Jarl Bulgraaf suggested to consult the Greybeards about the dragon appearances. They might know more. So I packed for Ivarstead, and to climb the 7000 steps to High Hrothgar. In the afternoon I arrived at Helgen.

A month after the strange dragon attack, Helgen was already partially rebuild. People were busy, Imperial guards were omni-present in case of another attack. I stayed at the "Helgen Amrs Inn", before continuing the road.
The newly rebuild Helgen

Next morning I headed for Ivarstead, but halfway I saw a huge dragon circling above the mountain pass. I ran back down the road, to hide out of sight. After a while it went away. At a camp fire I had a hot porridge, and went again for Ivarstead. I arrived in the afternoon, and helped to clear the village from a bear problem. I slept at the inn before climbing the long way up.
Beginning the climb of 7000 steps, last look upon Ivarstead.

Next morning I left for High Hrothgar. The climb was long. Cold, rain and later snow did not make it more easy. In the afternoon we arrived at the monastry.

Greybeards received me, calling me the "Dragonborn". I heard it also in Whiterun, after having helped to kill the dragon. But now the Greybeards made me use a power I did not know I had in me. I could "shout away" things! They also told me that my destiny is tied with the appearing dragons! I was confused...
Arriving at High Hrothgar

They suggested to fetch a horn belonging to a certain "Jurgen Windcaller". In my confusion I forgot why this should be important, but I'll do what they ask...
